Do you know how to build bookshelves? It is not complicated to build bookshelves. You can build bookshelves with yourself. First of all that you should do is choosing a location for your bookshelves and determine the size that best fits of your needs, for example on the corner of your living room. It may help to make a simple diagram of the bookcase, noting the dimensions for each part. Next, you should measure and cut plywood frame.
With your dimensions in hand, you are ready to cut the top, sides, and interior shelves based on the size. After you cut all the materials, you cut plywood to length. The next step is marking the sides for the shelves. The interior shelves need to be rabbited into the two side panels of the frame by using a router. Rabbiting the shelves into the frame will make the unit much stronger and allow the shelves to support more weight.
Then, you cut the rabbit joints. Start by affixing the top to the two side panels using wood glue and finish nails, you assemble the unit. Finally, you should finish the face and add finishing touches. It is simple step, isn’t it? You can try in your house and get the benefits of the bookshelves.
